Workshop on the implementation of Resolution No. 01/2014/NQ-HDTP on implementation of a number of articles of the law on commercial arbitration and issues relating to 1958 New York Convention on Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign arbitral awards in Vietnam

The Workshop on the implementation of  Resolution No. 01/2014/NQ-HDTP on implementation of a number of articles of the law on commercial arbitration and issues relating to 1958 New York Convention on Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign arbitral awards in Vietnam is held in Vinh Phuc, a Northern province of Vietnam, from 02nd April to 03rd April 2015.

In this occasion, Dzungsrt & Associates LLC is pleased to be invited to make speech relating the main issues of 1958 New York Convention. Our Managing Partner, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dzung gives speech on following issues of the Convention:

Announcement on personnel changes

Dzungsrt & Associates LLC is pleased to announce on personnel changes on Hanoi Office and Saigon Branch as of March 1st, 2015 as following:

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang has returned to Dzungsrt & Associates LLC – Hanoi Office after completing her Post Graduate LLM course in Business, Corporate and Maritime Law, major on International Arbitration and Business Law at Erasmus School of Law – Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She also finished an advanced course on Arbitration at the Paris Arbitration Academy under the tutelages of most highly regarded individuals within the field. As she already demonstrated her diligence and responsiveness during her previous 2-year term with Dzungsrt & Associates LLC where she involved in a large number of cases and co-authored many publications on arbitration, Trang is now expected to bring the much-needed balance between international academic knowledge and local expertise on arbitration in Vietnam to Arbitration Team of the firm.

Trang will take over Mr. Le Quang Hung job since Mr Hung stops his working contract to study abroad in the end of March 2015. We would like to thanks Hung for his significant contributions to the current success of our Arbitration Team and all wish Hung on the best on his next academic study on international investment arbitration subject and hope to see his return next year.

Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Le Quynh Chi also obtained her LLM Degree on International Commercial Law specialized in dispute resolutions, arbitration, banking law, sale of goods, conflict of  laws at University of Leicester, England before re-joining Dzungsrt & Associates LLC – Saigon Branch. She regularly involves in the drafting of legal advices, statements and memoranda in both Vietnamese and English. Chi is familiar with the common law system and understands deeply the differences between common law and civil law system. She has participated in cases before a number of local courts as well as arbitrations and assisted clients on the matters of maritime, commercial and procedure laws. Her dynamic, practical approach with a sharp mind and eyes for details would be valuable assets for both Litigation and Shipping Teams of the firm. It is expected that her experience in one of the most renowned university would facilitate our firm in complex and cross-border transactions on shipping and commercial disputes.

Chi and Trang both have good knowledge about Vietnamese law especially litigation law, enterprise law and commercial law. They have worked for long time in Litigation and Arbitration team and have been familiar with the proceeding at the court and arbitration. They have been identified as key factors of litigation and arbitration teams and give great assistance to our partners and senior associates in major and representative cases.
