Furthermore, Dzungsrt & Associates LLC has spent significant efforts in the reform of ADR and arbitration laws in Vietnam. As members of the Drafting Committees on Commercial Arbitration Legislation, our Managing Partner, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dzung, involved closely in the legislative process of the 2010 Law on Commercial Arbitration. Since the enactment of the Law, we, through our cooperation with the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam, have directly commented on its various guiding bye-laws and regulations. Most recently, Mr. Dzung has been appointed as an ADR expert to the Supreme People’s Court in a project sponsored by the UNDP to improve court annexed mediation. Also, he has been officially retained by World Bank to act as a local consultant in advising the Supreme People’s Court to amend the current Civil Procedure Code for promotion of ADR in general and arbitration in particular, including the recognition and enforcement regime.
