The concept of “public policy” is always regarded as one of the most controversial issues in terms of grounds for refusal of recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, not only in Vietnam but also in other jurisdictions all over the world. Besides, the arbitrability of the dispute, though less referring to as a ground for challenge the arbitral awards, still causes endless troubles for the disputing parties while drafting their arbitration agreement.

Conference on ASEAN integration and harmonization of justice in ASEAN countries

On 17th March 2016, the Supreme People’s Court held a conference on “ASEAN integration and harmonization of justice in ASEAN countries”. With the participation of the Chief justice of the Supreme People’s Court; the Deputy Chief Justices of the Supreme People’s Court; the Judges of the Supreme People’s Court; representatives of the Divisions of the Supreme People’s Court; experts and scientists; the Head of the People’s High Court in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City.
