The 2016 UNCITRAL Viet Nam Workshop “Harmonization of Trade Law and Outlook for Practitioners in ASEAN” will be held on 24 November 2016 at the Foreign Trade University, Ha Noi, Viet Nam.

Hosted jointly with the Foreign Trade University, Ha Noi, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre, and the Vietnam Business Lawyers Club, the Workshop will be devoted to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods 1980 (CISG), following Viet Nam’s recent accession to the Convention, which will enter into force for Viet Nam on 1 January 2017. The Workshop will focus on various aspects of the application and implementation of the CISG, including in the contexts of electronic communications in international contracting, international comme
rcial arbitration, government purchases, as well as the duty of uniform interpretation and contract law harmonization within ASEAN.
